WebCT: Read and Post in Discussion Tool.

During this instruction, you will learn how to read and post messages in the Discussion Tool.

Part I: Read Messages and Reply
Part II: Post Messages

Part I: Read Messages and Reply

1. Log in your WebCT and select course.
Note: If you are not sure on how to do this, look at our Log On tutorial.

2.Click on the Discussions icon.

3.Click Main

4. Click All, and click on the View Icon

5. Click on the message that you want to read.

6. Click on Reply or Reply privately

Note: Reply privately will only allow the person that posted the original message to view your reply.

7.Type in your reply, and click Post

8. To view your message click on Update listing.

Part II: Post Messages

1. Click Compose message.

2. Type in a subject, enter your message, and click Post.

3. Click Update Listing; you should now be able to view your message.
