Purpose

The Collin County Community College District (CCCCD) “Procedures and Guidelines for Faculty and Staff” have been written to inform employees of college processes and guidelines that provide direction for implementing CCCCD Board of Trustees policies and legal requirements of the district.

The CCCCD Board Policy Manual, which incorporates both Texas Association of School Board (TASB) Legal Policies and CCCCD Board of Trustees Local Policies, will be available for reference and review on the Human Resources web site and on the district’s Intranet site following approval by the CCCCD Board of Trustees.  These policies inform CCCCD faculty and staff of their responsibilities and obligations to the district as well as the district’s responsibilities and commitments to the faculty and staff. The official CCCCD Board Policy Manual is maintained in a paper format within the CCCCD President’s Office.

If a provision of the district’s policies and/or procedures/guidelines is found to be inconsistent with a law or a regulation of a local, state, or federal agency, the provision of such law and/or regulation shall prevail, but all other provisions of the policies and/or procedures/guidelines shall remain in full force and effect. If any provision is determined to be invalid and non-enforceable by a court having jurisdiction over the district, such provision shall be considered void, but all other valid provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Board policies are effective only upon their formal approval by the CCCCD Board of Trustees.  Procedures and guidelines are subject to continuous revision as the district grows and expands and as business needs change. Procedures and guidelines are approved by the president and are generally monitored and/or implemented by the appropriate district administrators.

Nothing outlined within the “Procedures and Guidelines for Faculty and Staff” web site is intended to create a contract between CCCCD and its employees. Questions should be directed to the appropriate supervisor or to the Human Resources Office.

Throughout this site, the terms "CCCC" and "CCCCD" are used interchangeably with "the college" and "the district" and imply the entire Collin County Community College District, its area and its entities.

CCCCD is an equal opportunity institution and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability or veteran status.
