Preventing
Employment Discrimination (on-line
Training Program)
The primary goal of this course is to enable
you to identify, avoid and report behaviors that appear to violate
employment discrimination laws. With this knowledge, you can help
keep Collin College free of discrimination.
A
secondary objective of the course is to comply with the Texas Labor
Code, Chapter 21, Section 21.010, which requires state agencies to
provide training on employment discrimination and sexual harassment to
employees within thirty days after they are
hired and all other
employees every two years.
If you are a new employee, or if
you are a current employee that has not participated in this
training within the last two years, please click on the link above.
It is
estimated to take about one hour to complete the entire course.
Upon completion, a certificate must be printed, signed and
forwarded to Annette Caffrey in Human Resources at the Central
Park Campus.
Preventing
Sexual Harassment
(on-line Training Program)
The primary goal of this course is to enable you to identify
sexually harassing behaviors. With this knowledge, you can help
keep Collin College free of sexual harassment. More specifically, it
will help you:
- identify behavior that
might be considered sexual harassment,
- explain the legal and other
consequences of sexual harassment,
- describe your role and
responsibility in creating an academic and work
environment free
of sexual harassment,
- learn what actions to take
against sexual harassment, and
- understand
Collin College's
policies and procedures on sexual harassment.
