Equal Employment Opportunity Information

  • Affirmative Employment Plan

Collin County Community College District is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability or veteran status.

Collin College is committed to the Affirmative Employment Plan and adheres to the policy that no discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability or veteran status will exist in any area of employment practices at Collin College.  Efforts and programs are directed toward expanding employment opportunities for individuals in protected groups, and preventing the development of policies and practices which may exclude or limit employment of individuals belonging to statutorily protected groups.

  • Preventing Employment Discrimination (on-line Training Program)

The primary goal of this course is to enable you to identify, avoid and report behaviors that appear to violate employment discrimination laws. With this knowledge, you can help keep Collin College free of discrimination.

A secondary objective of the course is to comply with the Texas Labor Code, Chapter 21, Section 21.010, which requires state agencies to provide training on employment discrimination and sexual harassment to employees within thirty days after they are hired and all other employees every two years.

If you are a new employee, or if you are a current employee that has not participated in this training within the last two years, please click on the link above.  It is estimated to take about one hour to complete the entire course.

Upon completion, a certificate must be printed, signed and forwarded to Annette Caffrey in Human Resources at the Central Park Campus.

Preventing Sexual Harassment (on-line Training Program)

The primary goal of this course is to enable you to identify sexually harassing behaviors. With this knowledge, you can help keep Collin College free of sexual harassment.  More specifically, it will help you:

    -  identify behavior that might be considered sexual harassment,

    -  explain the legal and other consequences of sexual harassment,

    -  describe your role and responsibility in creating an academic and work

       environment free of sexual harassment,

    -  learn what actions to take against sexual harassment, and

    -  understand Collin College's policies and procedures on sexual harassment.

All employees are encouraged to participate in this informative course.

Please contact Dindy Robinson in Human Resources with any questions you have regarding these courses.
