Sept. 1, 2005: Insurance Changes October 11, 2005: Community College Employees Eligible for ERS 457 Deferred Compensation Texa$aver Program Sept. 1, 2006: Insurance Changes
Premiums increase 8.9% for health insurance.  Other than that, the only changes are good ones.    You have new services available from HealthSelect:  See http://www.bcbstx.com/hs. Collin College employees now have an additional option for saving money for retirement on a tax-deferred basis: a 457 Deferred Compensation Plan.  All full-time employees are eligible and the minimum monthly contribution is $20.  See a comparison of the 457 plan with your other voluntary savings plan option, 403(b) plan, for tax year 2006 at: http://www.ers.state.tx.us/DeferredComp/2006comparison457b-403b.pdf.
