-
TexFlex is a money-saving opportunity for
employees with out-of-pocket costs for:
-
Health care - Medically necessary health care expenses
for the employee (and the employee's spouse and other IRS tax return
eligible dependents) such as prescription co-pays, doctor visit co-pays,
etc.
-
Dependent day care - Dependent child or dependent adult
day care expenses
-
You can use a debit card to pay for expenses on the
spot and avoid filing claims!
-
You can enroll in TexFlex during your initial period of
eligibility or during the annual Summer Enrollment period.
(Caution: Your
eligibility period to incur expenses will end when you terminate
employment. You must continue your monthly HCRA payments for
the plan year. You have the option of: 1) combining all
remaining monthly deductions into one last pre-tax payroll
deduction, or 2) continuing to pay your monthly amount by personal
check for the remainder of the plan year. Reimbursement
account payments made after payroll deductions have stopped will be
on an after-tax basis. Continuance of payments will extend the
eligible period in which you may incur expenses.)
